1.Considering all of the topics discussed in this course, describe your understanding of the Earth system. Your answer should include all of the spheres* (i.e. subsystems) that we’ve discussed, as well as key feedbacks between the subsystems, forcings, and the different time scales and processes that are important to forming climate couplings. This question is intended to get you thinking about how it all fits together. You may also find going back to the first chapter of the textbook helpful. [30 points]

Your answer length should be half a page of text. You may provide figures as supplemental material to your answer, but the length will be assessed on the length of your text.
